Members and chapters of Sigma Kappa are encouraged to exercise their privilege and responsibility to recommend qualified members to serve. Through a nomination and election process that starts on Sept. 1, 2021 Sigma Kappa national council members are elected by the membership to serve for a biennium (two years). Click here for additional information including the National Council Recommendation Form.
The eight officers that compose our national council will be elected by the voting delegates at the 2022 national convention of Sigma Kappa in Denver, CO. At convention, national council is recommending amendments to the Bylaws in alignment with the proposed transition of governance models. If the amendments are adopted by the convention body, only the national president and national vice president of finance candidates will serve in named positions. The other women elected to national council will serve as general vice presidents.
