Coronavirus (COVID-19) is dominating news coverage across the country. The health and safety of our members is of the utmost importance to us. As awareness of and concerns about COVID-19 continue to rise, please refer to the resources provided below.

We encourage you to stay aware and informed by reading any information shared by your college/university and monitoring the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website. Students should adhere to campus policies. We are also sharing information and resources from the World Health Organization (WHO) and CDC about coronavirus, how it spreads and what you can do to help protect yourselves and your sisters.

A Message of Support from our European Alumnae Chapter...

What a crazy time it is in the world at this very moment. Corona is infiltrating the furthest corners of the world, half the earth seems to be in some sort of lockdown, and the initial effects of all this on the global economy are already become apparent… Our hearts go out to all of those struggling during this time and we would like to offer our help wherever possible.

As we progress further through this day-by-day, we become more aware of the personal stories of the impact the virus is having on those around us. We sincerely hope that everybody reading this is at home, safe and sound, and feeling some sort of calm during this storm. However, if, for any reason whatsoever, you (or a Sigma Kappa you know) is currently not at home and specifically is not in the position to go back to the USA at this very time, we would like to let you know that you are not alone and that the Sigma European Alumnae Chapter is here for you!

Whether it be a place to stay, possible translation services, a warm meal, or just a listening ear… the Sigma Kappa European Alumnae Chapter is here (in many, many cities across Europe and Australia!)! We can also provide any support in applying for the Sigma Kappa Foundation's emergency grants, which are for collegians or alumnae in extreme need. Applications are available here. If you would like to connect at this time, please leave a message here or mail us at and we can take it from there. Also, please feel free to share this with any other Sigma Kappa in need.

Stay safe. Be kind. Live with heart.
