Louise Helen Coburn Excellence in Alumnae Relations Award

Louise Helen Coburn was one of the five Founders of Sigma Kappa. Born September 1, 1856, she was the last Founder to pass away on February 7, 1949. She was the second woman to graduate from Colby after Mary Low Carver and was the second woman Phi Beta Kappa at Colby. She wrote the original Constitution and Bylaws and much of the ceremony of Initiation.

Alpha Chi, Georgetown College

Alpha Chi hosted a variety of alumnae collegiate events this year with successful turnout of collegians and alumnae. Events included a reunion brunch before homecoming concluded with a circle up singing chants in the quad, an event called "the house that builds us" which invited alumnae to visit their old rooms and composites, and a Sigma Sweetheart Skate inviting alumnae and their families to enjoy an evening with ice skating and hot cocoa.
