Monday - Wednesday, June 15 - 17
Pre-Convention Leadership Institute

Sigma Kappa’s inaugural Pre-Convention Leadership Institute will be held Monday, June 15, 2020 – Wednesday, June 17, 2020, prior to Sigma Kappa’s national convention in Tucson, AZ.

Made possible by a grant from the Sigma Kappa Foundation, we are proud to present Pre-Con, a leadership institute for collegiate members who are interested in developing their leadership skills, learning more about their strengths, and identifying how to bring these skills back to their communities. Collegians who are selected to attend Pre-Con will participate as a part of a cohort experience, beginning with programming and dinner on Monday, June 15 and two days of programming on Tuesday, June 16 and Wednesday, June 17 in Tucson, AZ. The cohort will then wrap up their Pre-Con experience by attending the welcome banquet at Sigma Kappa’s national convention.

As part of the Pre-Con experience, each cohort member will be individually paired with an assigned mentor. Mentors will be initiated members of Sigma Kappa that have utilized their skills and interests to give back to the organization as alumnae members in a volunteer capacity. Mentors will support their mentees in bringing their Pre-Con experience back to their campus to continue to enhance their community as a leader.

Collegians who are selected to participate in the Pre-Con Institute will be able to attend free of charge, thanks to the generous support provided by a grant from the Sigma Kappa Foundation.

The application for the Pre-Con Institute has now closed. If you have questions about the Pre-Con Institute, please contact Sara Elgart, collegiate services manager.
