Financial Responsibilities

Housing Fees ImageHousing Fees

Your daughter will pay a one-time Housing & Furnishing Fee during her first year of membership. This fee contributes to the upkeep, décor, and maintenance of the housing structure (house, lodge, room, or suite). If your daughter’s campus does not have a Sigma Kappa house, this fee is paid to the Sigma Kappa National Housing Corporation for future housing endeavors.

It is important to our Sorority that all members understand the financial responsibility that comes with Sigma Kappa membership. In addition to national fees and housing fees, members are assessed chapter dues in order to establish the local chapter budget. Each chapter sets these fees based on their specific needs. Depending on the chapter, members may be charged fees in addition to chapter dues for various expenses.

National alumnae dues
allow Sigma Kappa to be a sustainable organization. National alumnae dues are $35 annually. These dues pay for new resources for alumnae and collegians, extension opportunities to grow the organization, technology initiatives to enhance the membership experience and Sigma Kappa national headquarters staff. Local alumnae chapters may have additional dues to host social, sisterhood, philanthropy or recruitment events.
