     Packing list
    • Air-conditioned hotel meeting rooms can be very cold.  Bring a sweater or jacket if you are easily chilled.
    • Pack comfortable, appropriate shoes.
    • Sigma Kappa badges should be worn for all scheduled Sigma Kappa functions except for the Confirmed Conventionite Celebration, Walt Disney World® Outing and free time activities.
    • Short shorts, jeans, boxers, and abbreviated attire such as micro-mini shirts/shorts, tube/mini tops and indiscrete bathing attire are not appropriate for convention. Refer to the Clothing Recommendations below.
    • If attending the business meeting, review your Sigma Kappa Constitution and Bylaws and National Policy Handbook.

    Convention attire

    Wondering what you need to wear during the conference? Follow these recommendations!

    Travel and National Council Reception: All attendees represent Sigma Kappa when they travel. Travel in attractive attire that represents Sigma Kappa well and is appropriate to meet National Council upon arrival. Dressy casual, such as a sundress or pants outfit is appropriate.

    attire jacketWorkshops, Banquets and Formal Business Meetings: Professional attire such as a dress, suit; skirt and shirt, blouse, sweater or pantsuit of appropriate lengths are required. The Sigma Kappa badge is recommended.attire tshirt

    Walt Disney World® Outing: All Sigma Kappa members are encouraged to wear comfortable and casual clothes (skirts or shorts of appropriate length are acceptable) with a Sigma Kappa shirt.

     Confirmed Conventionite Celebration: Come dressed as your favorite animated character, such as a Disney princess, superhero or other favorite character. Costumes are highly encouraged as you share "the magic of character" with your Sigma Kappa sisters.

    Initiation Ceremony and Model Meeting: All white dress of any length and white shoes. Attendees should be aware that Initiation dress guidelines, including appropriate accessories (shoes, jewelry, etc.), will be enforced. Pants, off-white or cream dresses, and inappropriate dresses (too short, plunging necklines, etc.) are not acceptable.

    attire dressAchievement Banquet: Semi-formal or formal, any length, elegant dress.

    Free Time: Orlando is very warm in the summer. Cool attire such as sundresses, skirts and shorts of appropriate length and comfortable shoes are acceptable.

    NOT APPROPRIATE FOR CONVENTION: Short shorts, jeans, boxers, abbreviated attire such as micro-mini shirts/shorts, tube/mini-tops and indiscrete swimming attire.
