Housing Fees

Your daughter will pay a one-time Housing & Furnishing Fee during her first year of membership. This fee contributes to the upkeep, décor, and maintenance of the housing structure (house, lodge, room, or suite). If your daughter’s campus does not have a Sigma Kappa house, this fee is paid to the Sigma Kappa National Housing Corporation for future housing endeavors.

Local Chapter Fees

It is important to our Sorority that all members understand the financial responsibility that comes with Sigma Kappa membership. In addition to national fees and housing fees, members are assessed chapter dues in order to establish the local chapter budget. Each chapter sets these fees based on their specific needs. Depending on the chapter, members may be charged fees in addition to chapter dues for various expenses.

Alumnae Fees

National alumnae dues
allow Sigma Kappa to be a sustainable organization. National alumnae dues are $30 annually. These dues pay for new resources for alumnae and collegians, extension opportunities to grow the organization, technology initiatives to enhance the membership experience and Sigma Kappa national headquarters staff. Local alumnae chapters may have additional dues to host social, sisterhood, philanthropy or recruitment events.

National Fees

Sigma Kappa is a not-for-profit corporation and relies on the national fees from its members to finance yearly operating expenses and chapter services. Each collegiate member is responsible for the following national fees:

- New member fee (one-time fee)
- Badge fee (one-time fee)
- Initiation fee (one-time fee)
- Housing and Furnishing fee (one-time fee)
- Collegiate national dues (annual fee)
- Liability insurance/risk management assessment fee (annual fee)
- Communication fee (annual fee)

In addition to national fees, there are local dues for each chapter. These fees are used to keep individual chapters operating, and used for expenses such as recruitment, social activities, scholarship and new member programs, intramural and other campus activities Panhellenic dues and other miscellaneous expenses. Every collegiate chapter sets its own dues based on local financial needs and will pay these dues through individual member’s Billhighway account.
